It cannot be used with conventional mechanical seals, large pumps, agitators, agitators and other units with an above average shaft shaft. The shafts of these units tend to move strongly eccentrically with axial and radial movements.

Traditional mechanical seal systems cannot withstand these extreme effects. This is generally avoided with additional bearings in sealing chambers. This is an expensive and particularly unsustainable solution - these designs fail as soon as bearings are damaged from overload.

In contrast, METRIK's solutions are optimized for ideal, long-lasting operation.

  • STATIONARY FLOATING DESIGN
    TYPE 326

    The mechanical seal type 326 is designed for particularly large pumps, agitators, mixers and the like. Thanks to the design with "floating" seal faces, the mechanical seal is capable of absorbing extreme movements in the seal and maintaining the faces in an identical pressure ratio to each other.

    TYPE 365

    Particularly large pumps, agitators, mixers, autoclaves, filters, calenders, fermenters and similar units with large shafts often have a tendency for the shafts to move very eccentrically. This applies both to axial, radial and pendulating movements. Conventional mechanical seals cannot cope with these extreme conditions. METRİK offers the mechanical seal type 365 for such applications. Thanks to its unique design with "floating" seal faces, the mechanical seal is capable of absorbing these extreme movements in the seal itself and nevertheless always maintaining the faces in the same pressure ratio to each other. This mechanical seal operates reliably and fully independently of any shaft movements.

    Descriptions

    METRİK has four optimised mechanical seals for the challenging boundary conditions of an agitator.
    The advantage: the flange and face parts as well as certain seal housing parts are exchangeable. The operator's stock can thus be kept to a low level and a wide range of replacement parts is available.
